Volunteer Descriptions

NON GAME EXAMPLES

Game Day Coordinator:
Responsible for home game setup and breakdown of the field. (1 person)

Fundraiser Coordinator:  
Responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing fundraising opportunities/activities. (1 person)

Banquet Coordinator:
Plan, organize, and coordinate support for annual banquet. (1 person)

Spirit Wear Coordinator:
Procure and organize sales of team apparel throughout the season. (1 person)

Volunteer Coordinator:  
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining volunteer needs throughout the season. (1 person)

Communications Coordinator:
Responsible for communicating weekly updates to the program coaches, parents, and players.

Parent Relations:
Communicate with grade level parents, intermediary between volunteer and communications coordinator and coaches (3 people – one per grade level)

Game Day assignments:
(volunteers a minimum of one time per season- estimates are based on four home games)

Chains:
Work the chains (yard markers) and mark ball for home games. Requires three people per game. (24 people)

Photographer:
Take photos of all grade levels, throughout the season. Create web albums and coordinate updates to the Jr. Pirates Football website.

Fundraising Support:
Support Fundraising Coordinator and implement fundraising activities. (3 people – one per grade level)

Banquet Support:
Support Banquet Coordinator and implement annual banquet event. (3 people – one per grade level)

School monitor:
Supervise building during games.

Custodian support:
Work with custodian to set up tables, tear down and maintain school grounds during game days.

Game Day Safety Monitor:
Responsible for monitoring environment to ensure safety of coaches, players, and spectators during home games. (12 people)

Scoreboard:
Responsible  for operating the scoreboard during home games. (12 people)

Field Duty:
Responsible for ensuring that field is set up and ready for home games and is clean after practices and home games. (26 people – two per week after each practice)

Parking Monitor:
Responsible for ensuring that parking is blocked for board, coaches, officials, and those with special needs. Direct traffic to designated parking areas.  Restrict parking in non designated areas.
